Chris Ehlers was born in Hannover, Germany. She lives and works as a fine artist and yoga instructor in San Mateo, California.

Chris Ehlers earned an MBA from the University of Lüneburg. She received her formal training as a fine artist in painting from the Free Academy of Art Berlin and the Academy for Painting Berlin. Since 2007 she has focused on her artistic career, starting her own gallery with studio space in Charlottenburg, the artistic hub of West Berlin. In 2009 she relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area.

Chris Ehlers’ recent solo exhibitions include Gestalt and Allegory at Hang Art (San Francisco) and Being Human at Galerie Kuhn & Partners (Berlin, Germany). Group shows include 200 Years of Grimm Fairytales at Dartmouth College (Hanover, New Hampshire), Close to the Wind at Goethe-Institut (San Francisco), Friends of the Gallery at Galerie Kuhn & Partners, and A Lot of Good at Hang Art. Her works are included in the public collections of Volksbank Luneburg and St. Hedwig-Kathedrale, Berlin, Germany. She is represented by Hang Art in San Francisco and Galerie Kuhn & Partners in Berlin, Germany.
